Barum Polaris 2

Barum Company has a remarkable background in making tyres having good quality and performance, the company is a junior branch of Bata. Barum Polaris is a product of Barum Company, Barum Polaris is a winter tyre, but this tyre is replaced with an improved brand by Barum Company that is Barum Polaris 3.

Barum Polaris 2 has good wet traction but has remarkable dry traction and gives a marvellous performance on dry pavements. As these are winter tyres the tread pattern of these tyres allow the movement of tyre on roads covered with snow and ice with maximum stability, but sometime these tyres lose grip in extreme snowfall and are not a good option to be used in deep snow. These tyres are winter tyres so the composition of tread for manufacturing these tyres contain a special compound which give flexibility to the tyre to drive over roads covered with snow having a temperature below freezing point. These tyres do not become stiff and hard during winter season and so do not cracks on the sidewalls. These tyres have a greater tread wear rating so during heavy braking, ABS system of the tyre is sometimes lost, but it can also happen because of excessive salt used on roads to maintain traction.

Barum Polaris tyres are available in an affordable price range, hence they are also economical. The tread of the tyre contain multiple sipes which increases the surface area for the adhesion of tyre to road and also help in heavy braking. The grooves in the tyre are specially designed by Barum engineers to drain water easily, so that the water does not cause aquaplaning or hydroplaning (in aquaplaning or hydroplaning water act as a lubricant which causes loss of traction between the tyre and the road) these tyres also have great handling due to special silica technology used in these tyres for adhesion to the surface but this adhesion is most apparent in dry pavements.

These tyres have a bit noisy due to rolling friction in order to enhance the gripping, but this little exterior noise of tyres is not quite distressing and is easily managed over the course of time.
